Trip Rate Analysis on Residential Centers using Linear Regression

This study uses the data obtained from a survey conducted by PT. Citra Wahana Consultant on the traffic volume of vehicle entry and exit in residential areas on period 2017, specifically economical and upper-middle-class housings in Jakarta, Tangerang, Bekasi, Depok, Bandung, Surakarta, and Surabaya. This study is conducted for 14 hours from 06:00 until 20:00. The method used in this research is inferential statistics, using the linear regression method. The results indicate that the hourly trip rate of economical housing is higher than that of luxurious housing. The highest vehicle entry-exit trip rate in luxurious housing is 0.34 at 06:00 to 07:00, while that in economical housing reaches 0.78 at 06:00 to 07:00. It can be concluded that vehicles entering or exiting hit the peak flow at that particular hour.
